More Corrections …

… and things start to get frustrating: as far as we know today there was NO Celtic invasion of Britain. Indeed there was NO homogenous people “The Celts” at any time. That is largely a fiction of historians.

And there was no large-scale christianization of Britain during Roman times — the Roman gods were much more important for quite a long time. And those people who did become Christians, did NOT become Catholics, for heaven’s sake!

Can you tell I’m annoyed? These must have been two of the cases when I speak Chinese in class without noticing…

Eeep! Any historian worth their salt today would definitely acknowledge that that “celt” is fiction. We’re correcting ourselves, thank-you very much.

    :-p

Although on a serious note, I have to ask how you’re defining Catholic…?

I made a point to mention in class that the concept itself didn’t exist at that time.
