Friday Night Chatter … er … Stutter

More corrections today. Strong suspicion that I not only speak Chinese, but also write Chinese. Duh.

Ate too many sweets. (What’s new?)

Went to see Pinter’s Ashes to Ashes, staged by friends of mine , this evening. Was, as always, highly impressed, yet harboured dark thoughts of wringing necks of people who leave their bluidy cell phones on during a play.

Ate more sweets. (Still nothing new.)

Will go to bed now. ‘night! :O)

So guess what I got from Amazon the other day? Yup. TLB, my friend. And I must say that I’m very upset with you because I didn’t get to bed until 3 a.m. because I had to stay up to finish the whole bloody book.

As for studying English lit at Mainz, it’s tempting… I did, after all, have a minor in English as an undergrad…

Hmmm. Why am I not all upset about that? *g* I’m thrilled you enjoyed the book so much!

Mainz is great (well, apart from the 50 people per course and the more or less non-existing funds for the library): we offer a nice variety of courses and the teachers are, of course, fantabulous! (Aren’t we? Mark? Gideon?) (Btw, this would also be a lovely moment for my students to come out and exclaim with great cheer: “YES, of COURSE! And we simply LOVED being dragged through 100,000 years of British history in just nine weeks!”) *g*
