Friday Evening Idyll with Kitteh

Spent the day marking exams and term projects. Now I feel as if a load of bricks dropped onto my head. Will spent the rest of Friday evening curled up on the couch with Teh Kitteh and a nice cup of tea.
And books.
Did I mention the books?
The first batch of “research” material for my “Reading the Romance” seminar arrived earlier today: four Georgette Heyer novels, Georgette Heyer’s Regency World, The Sheik, and The Mistress of Mellyn. (The DHL guy appeared rather worried again about the large number of amazon packages he had to deliver to me today… *g*)

    Happy reading!

I sometimes wonder whether the book deliveries our postmen have to make to me might hurt their backs. Their bags do look very heavy. However, on our street they have a box on the street corner where they can leave some of the post while they deliver the rest. I suppose that must help reduce the weight of each bagful. And, given how many people use email instead of posting letters, I suppose a rise in the number of parcels may be necessary to keep the Post Office in business.
