A Sad Day

Today one of the furry babies, PĆ¼nktchen, had to be put to sleep. We got her from the animal asylum 14 years ago and I’ve never met a more stubborn, thickheaded cat. She was also easily annoyed, which she usually showed by sinking her claws into parts of your anatomy. She disliked most humans (as well as other cats), but came to love the members of my family. She was the one who ripped the wallpaper in my new flat to shreds and spread snot across the whole flat (my windows look lovely). She insisted on sitting more or less on the keyboard when I used the computer and grew angry when I insisted that I needed said keyboard. Being kept out of the bedroom also made her quite mad, which she showed first by hollering outside the bedroom door for endless minutes, before jumping against the door (probably after having sneezed at it).
I will miss her very much.

I’m so sorry to hear about your fur baby, Sandra. It’s never easy to lose a beloved pet & those furry “problem children” can sometimes wind up being the dearest to our hearts! ((HUGS))

Oh, Sandy. Isn’t it amazing how all those things that annoy you are such an integral part of your life that you miss them so much…? Good vibes your way and many hugs.

Thank you all for the hugs. Oh man, first we had to put Lady to sleep earlier this year, and now it’s Pünktchen. And Jago is still rather ill. *sigh*

I’m sorry to hear that your cat had to be put to sleep, Sandy!

I know how it feels to lose pets and it never gets any easier. I know that she must be in a better place at least.

But she sounds a lot like my cat, Kiriko. She has such a temper and gets mad so easily, but that’s what I find endearing about her.

I do hope that Jago gets better soon!

    Hugs,

    Dorie
